Our music video for Elation was released today! Filmed in the dead of winter in an vacant building in Winnipeg's Exchange District, it was really damn cold and scary. But we held it together and I think you'll agree that it looks wicked. A huge thanks to Phoebe Chard and Max Harrison for putting this together.
Hi friends, we've put up Elation as a free download! Visit our Bandcamp page for the deal. We also have a new music video coming out soon, so keep an eye open for that in the very near future!
It's coming up fast -- our showcase at Canadian Music Week is next week! We're excited to head back to Toronto so soon after our last tour. Two months seems to be our average for hitting the city over the past half year. You can buy tickets here, and check out our CMW profile.
However, it's with sadness that we announce the departure of Dan Kazuk and Matt Morison from the group. Morison has been with us for almost 3 years now, and has been an invaluable part of this band. We will miss his double entendre jokes and energizing presence in the studio and on the stage. Kazuk will also be missed. Without his commitment to all those late practices and long drives, we would have never been able to accomplish all that we have over the past year. It's been a hell of a run with these two in the band, and we wish them all the best.
But the best is yet to come for us as we plan for the future. Our showcase at CMW will show off our two new members of the band: Terrell and Tyler. They're champions and we're excited to have them on board. If you live in Winnipeg, you can catch them live with us for the first time on March 13 at The Windsor (check out the Facebook event). We'll be performing some new material that we intend on releasing later this year!
Alright, that's it for now! Oh, and remember to check out our shows section for regular updates.
We're home from our first dates in western Canada, and we're very grateful to all the bands who played with us, friends who drank beer with us, and friends who let us sleep under their roof. It was a great weekend, and we'll be back out that way in the spring.
On January 3rd we head east! Ten days between Winnipeg and Montréal, running through the United States. Head over to our shows section to find out more details!
We're home from our most recent Eastern tour, and first shows in America. Thank you to everyone who booked us, did sound for us, played with us, came to see our shows, and let us sleep on their floors. We had a blast!
The next few months will see us focused on writing and recording our next release, but we'll be playing shows in Winnipeg, and expect an announcement about Western Canada soon. Looking forward to more of everything.
The past month has been exciting, adventerous, busy, stressful, and rewarding. Our reception on the road was humbling and fulfilling. We owe a huge thanks to the bands we shared the stages with, the people who hung around to watch us despite never knowing about us, and our bad ass blue van for carrying us through the wrong drives.
Excluding a couple days rest, we haven't stopped working. Our days are consumed by writing, working to pay the bills, and recording. We've bonded immensely over the past month, and this has produced a new dynamic in the band. Expect news about a bleeding heart Canadian record in the months to come.
After a string of summer shows here in Winnipeg, we are about to embark on a whirlwind tour of Eastern Canada. Check our 'shows' section for tour dates, and keep in touch with us on Facebook and Twitter while we're on the road.
We're actively working on pre-production of our new EP, which we are slating for a spring 2013 release. I'm not sure how to describe the songs we're coming up with, but it's expanding from some of the main veins we explored in All These Chocies.
As for touring, we're hitting the road for a short stint at the beginning of August. Its been a long time coming, but we're looking forward to interacting with new audiences. We'll be heading out east again a month and half later, from mid-September to the beginning of October.
After that, we'll be heading into the studio in November.
Oh, and check out this stripped down version of Mantra we did at UMFM in Winnipeg a couple weeks ago.
Lots of love,
Matt Morison may have ruptured his achilles tendon playing ultimate frisbee, but it's Louis Reil day in Manitoba, and we have a new music video to show off! And hey, he can still drum during his recovery, so we haven't cancelled anything.
Things are pickin' up, so stay tuned, okay? Do it.
Well, that was a hell of a show! Thank you to those who came out -- the crowd was huge and we had a super enthusiastic response. We'll have a couple videos posted in the coming weeks, courtesy of Tyler Funk. As for right now, we're planning our tour schedule for later this year, so stay tuned for a show near you!
Hey, check it out! Our new single is posted, and it's called Mantra. See our playlist for a free listen, or download it for free. We'll be debuting the rest of All These Choices at the release show on the 20th. See you then, and happy new year.
We've been recording our new EP with Mike Petkau at his studio over the past couple days. Things are sounding great. It's different from our last album, but it remains within the same vein. Stay tuned for some pre-release videos, tracks, and other goodies.
It's official -- we're releasing a new EP this winter! Currently we're in pre-production mode, and will be working with Mike Petkau from Les Jupes, who will be our producer and engineer. We're currently planning a January release date, so stay tuned for more details!
Thank you very much to all who came out to our shows this summer. We're laying low right now, but we assure you we are neck deep in our writing process. Stay tuned for upcoming shows this fall.
Summer is approaching, and unless you're hanging around our jam space listening to us write, there are only three opportunities to see us:

May 6 - A benefit show for FemRev at the Lo Pub.
July 15 - Friday night at the Cavern with the Noble Thiefs.
Hope to see you out, and enjoy the bike rides.

We'll be playing the Lo Pub on January 29th.

We'll be opening for pop-rock stars Jicah and The Nods. Doors 10:00, Show 10:30!
It's just as boring as it sounds. Nothing to report. But he returns next week and we'll be playing shows again by October. Seacrest out!
